Psychotherapy and Wellness Services in New York City and Beyond
Supporting you or your loved in navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm with creativity and compassion.
Life doesn’t always follow the path you expect.
It can be hard to find your footing and the right kind of support.
Whether you have a specific issue or are curious to explore yourself more, I will support you in diving deeper into yourself and the world around you to release old patterns and habits, identify places you feel stuck or held back, and create the life you want to be living.
Therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical or disconnected.
Here, healing happens through conversation, creativity, and connection. I offer psychotherapy, creative arts therapy, EMDR, and holistic therapy in NYC for children, teens, adults, and older adults.
Using a flexible, trauma-informed approach, I support people who want more than symptom relief; they want insight, growth, and care that honors their full story.

Creative arts therapy blends psychotherapy with expression through movement, art, role play, and storytelling. It’s ideal for clients—of any age—who process feelings beyond just words.
-
I offer a blend of talk therapy, drama therapy, EMDR, somatic work, and mindfulness-based psychotherapy. Sessions are always tailored to the individual.

Background
I received my Masters in Drama Therapy at the University of Roehampton in London in 2016 and am currently based in New York City. I am a HCPC Registered Arts Therapist and Drama Therapist in the United Kingdom, and a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in New York State (LCAT).
My background is in both theatre and psychology, and through my own personal journey, and through witnessing the experience of others, I have realized the healing effects of creative expression when dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, psychosis, and with the general demands of everyday life.
Hi, I’m Jamie Adges
a licensed creative arts therapist and drama therapist based in New York City. I believe that therapy is a creative, relational process, not a formula. I work with children, teens, adults, and older adults to navigate trauma, anxiety, identity shifts, and life transitions in a way that feels safe, warm, and personalized.
My background includes work in hospice care, end-of-life support, and community mental health, and my practice blends talk therapy, EMDR, expressive arts, and somatic tools to support healing across the lifespan.
Whether we’re talking or creating, this space is built for people who want more than coping skills, they want to reconnect with themselves in a deeper way.
