How We Can Work Together 1:1

I offer a unique and personalized approach to healing that blends evidence-based psychotherapy with the power of creativity, movement, and self-discovery. Whether you're navigating a specific challenge or simply feeling called to understand yourself more deeply, therapy can be a path toward lasting change and personal meaning.

  • Life can feel overwhelming, directionless, or stuck. You may be carrying trauma, anxiety, relationship pain, or creative blocks. In our sessions, we explore the roots of these experiences while building the inner resources needed for clarity, confidence, and emotional freedom.

    You might be:

    • Struggling with anxiety, codependency, or ongoing stress

    • Feeling unfulfilled, stuck, or unsure of who you are

    • Navigating relationship issues, dating patterns, or loneliness

    • Recovering from trauma or looking to break free from childhood patterns

    • Longing to access your creativity and live more meaningfully

Through therapy, you may begin to:

    • Understand your inner world and emotional patterns

    • Set boundaries with clarity and compassion

    • Heal from past wounds and regulate your nervous system

    • Unlock your creativity and voice

    • Move toward more aligned, authentic choices

Modalities may include: Talk therapy (psychodynamic, relational, CBT), drama therapy, EMDR, somatic work, mindfulness, and expressive arts therapy in NYC.

  • Children and teens often express their emotions through behavior, play, or creativity. Using developmentally appropriate, expressive modalities, I support young people in exploring their feelings, building emotional resilience, and developing healthy coping tools.

    You might be seeing:

    • Anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or frequent shutdowns

    • Low self-esteem, social challenges, or isolation

    • Difficulty managing big feelings at home or in school

    • Identity exploration, especially among neurodivergent or LGBTQ+ youth

Therapy can help children & teens:

    • Build confidence and communication skills

    • Regulate their emotions and feel more in control

    • Improve relationships at home and in school

    • Feel seen, accepted, and supported in who they are

Parents are offered guidance and collaboration throughout the process to support growth beyond the therapy space.

Modalities may include: Play therapy, drama therapy, expressive arts therapy, somatic therapy, mindfulness, and parent support sessions.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps individuals heal from trauma, anxiety, and painful emotional patterns. It works by allowing the brain to reprocess stuck memories—those often at the root of negative self-beliefs like “I’m not enough” or overwhelming reactions tied to past experiences.

Before starting EMDR therapy, you may feel anxious, hypervigilant, or caught in repetitive emotional loops. Together, we’ll identify the memories and beliefs that feel most distressing, and I’ll guide you through a structured process using bilateral stimulation (such as back-and-forth eye movements) to help unlock those patterns. Clients often report a reduction in trauma symptoms, greater emotional regulation, and a deeper sense of calm and clarity in their daily lives.

I am trained in attachment-focused EMDR through the Parnell Institute, which means I bring a warm, relational approach to this work—especially helpful for those navigating complex or developmental trauma. We’ll use our therapeutic relationship as a secure base while processing memories, supporting not only symptom relief but also long-term emotional repair and self-worth.

EMDR can be offered as a focused stand-alone therapy or integrated into broader psychotherapy sessions, depending on your needs.

Other Ways I Can Help

  • Not all blocks are clinical. If you are a creative individual who feels stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed in your creative life, coaching offers a supportive space to reignite your inner voice and bring your vision forward.

Creative coaching may support you if you:

    • Are stuck in perfectionism or creative paralysis

    • Feel disconnected from your sense of purpose or passion

    • Are starting or restarting a project that feels deeply personal

    • Are looking to live more creatively, expressively, and intuitively

These sessions are action-oriented, emotionally attuned, and customized to your creative rhythm. It's about unlocking what already lives inside you.

  • An experiential, embodied form of therapy that helps people explore emotions, relationships, and internal roles through story, action, and play.

  • Creative arts therapy blends psychotherapy with expression through movement, art, role play, and storytelling. It’s ideal for clients—of any age—who process feelings beyond just words.

  • I offer gentle, holistic therapy in NYC for older adults, caregivers, and individuals navigating the transitions of aging, illness, or anticipatory grief. Sessions are grounded in presence, ritual, and emotional processing.

    Clients often experience:

    • Relief from fear, confusion, or spiritual distress

    • A deepened sense of peace and meaning

    • Strengthened connection with loved ones

    • Space to reflect on legacy and life review

Therapy may include: Narrative therapy, somatic support, expressive arts therapy, guided reflection, and caregiver consultation.

As a trained end-of-life doula in NYC, I offer emotional, spiritual, and logistical guidance for individuals and families preparing for death. Doulas support the dying process by creating calm, sacred, and compassionate space.

    This may include:

    • Advance care planning

    • Ritual or ceremony design

    • Life review and legacy projects

    • Vigil support

    • Support for loved ones

Doula care is available in person or virtually, and can complement psychotherapy or exist as its own supportive process.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • All sessions are offered virtually or in person on the Upper West Side of NYC.

  • I am considered an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. However, I’m happy to provide superbills (receipts for services) that you can submit for reimbursement through your insurance plan or FSA/HSA account. Many clients do receive partial reimbursement. I encourage you to check with your insurance company to understand your out-of-network mental health benefits.

  • My standard fee for individual and family therapy sessions ranges from $225 to $300 for a 50-minute session. I understand that financial needs vary, and I do offer a limited number of sliding scale spots. We’ll discuss your rate and options during our initial consultation, with the intention of finding something that works for both of us.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged for the missed appointment. I recognize that life is unpredictable—emergencies and illness happen—and I approach those situations with flexibility and care, assessing them on a case-by-case basis.
